On our morning walk today, we asked our neighbor if we could have some of the persimmons off of their very abundant tree!! Yum!

Later, we did some planting. We planted impatiens (again!--the chickens had killed them all over the summer.) Then we planted our cool season seeds-- peas, carrots, broccoli, lettuce and chard.

Wish us luck!! Our chickens destroyed almost everything we planted in the spring. They ate many seeds before they could even sprout.

Then they ate flowers off plants so they couldn't turn to fruit!!

We are trying to keep them in the coop and back (side) yard, but they're good at escaping.
(Oh, and sorry about Ceci being in her panties-- except notice--
she's wearing panties! She's about 99% potty-trained now, I am soooooooooo happy and proud!!)
And water coloring with red and yellow. Pretty!
